Well, here it is. A 1995 Toyota Carina E 2.0 litre Executive hatchback, also known as a Corona in some parts.
Quicker than a 3.2 litre XJ40, almost as quick as a 4.0 litre but with 25% better fuel consumption. Also quicker than a 2.0 litre Jaguar X-type and with more space. Not a dull car to drive, but dull to look at. Nice little engine - torquey low down yet revs willingly. Would look better in silver or light met. blue, in my opinion. Reliability is second to none on these and the only thing I miss is air conditioning (and - I must be getting lazy - sometimes an auto gearbox).
